Official Rules

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: The Giveaway is open to legal residents of the 50 United States (expect residents of Florida and Rhode Island), District of Columbia and Canada (except Quebec) who are 18 years of age or older. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law. Employees of equine.com and equisearch.com, their immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, children and each of their respective spouses) and those involved in the development, production (including prize suppliers), implementation and distribution of this Giveaway and their advertising officers, subsidiaries or affiliates, or any other persons or entities directly associated with the Giveaway are ineligible to enter the Giveaway. All federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations apply. All participants and/or entrants release equine.com and their agents, sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies, affiliated companies, employees, officers, directors and shareholders, from and against all liability, claims and damages arising in connection with each entrant’s participation and/or entry in the Giveaway and/or their acceptance, receipt, ownership or use of any prize awarded in this Giveaway. Equine.com and its sponsors make no warranty or representation as to the accuracy of the information provided in the web site and assume no liability for any errors or omissions in the Giveaway of the web site. Please read and print out the Official Rules before entering the Giveaway.

  2. HOW TO ENTER: You may enter the Giveaway completing the entire online entry form by providing your valid e-mail address and some general marketing questions from equine.com and equisearch.com. Contest no later than August 15, 2003. Limit one e-mail entry per eligible person for this Giveaway. Individuals may only enter using a single e-mail address. If an entrant uses multiple e-mail addresses to submit more than one online entry for a given day, only the first online entry. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the individual who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the registered holder of the e-mail account. All entries become the exclusive property of equine.com, equisearch.com, their agents, sponsors, affiliated companies and advertising and promotion agencies and will not be returned. Entrant may also receive information from equine.com, equisearch.com, their agents, sponsors, affiliated companies and advertising and promotion agencies regarding other Giveaways and/or promotional offers. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void.

  3. DETERMINATION OF WINNER: Winners will be selected in a random drawing among all eligible entries for that Giveaway by independent judges and will be contacted by phone and/or e-mail within approximately seven (7) business days from the drawing. Winners will be chosen on a date TBD. Judges’ decisions with respect to the winners and other matters pertaining to the Giveaway shall be final. The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Potential winners may be required to complete, notarize and return an affidavit of eligibility/release of liability and publicity within ten (10) days of issuance of prize notification or an alternate winner will be selected. If a potential winner cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been exerted during five (5) business days from the Giveaway administrators first attempt, or if he/she is found to be ineligible, or if he/she cannot or does not comply with the Official Rules, an alternate winner may be selected. The winner consents to the use of his/her name, photograph, likeness, biography, voice and/or video for advertising and promotional purposes, including online announcement, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. If, in the judges’ opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic and non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Giveaway, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Giveaway, the judges reserve the right to terminate the Giveaway and conduct a random drawing to award the prized using all online entries received as of the termination date.

  4. GENERAL: By participating in the Giveaway, entrants agree (a) to be bound by these rules and by the decisions of the judges, which are final in all matters relating to the Giveaway; and (b) acknowledge that the foregoing parties have neither made nor are, in any manner, responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guaranty, expressed or implied in fact or law, relative to a prize including, but not limited to, its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for use.

  5. FAILURE TO COMPLY: Failure to comply with these rules will result in disqualification.

  6. PRIZES: ONE (1) winner will receive a $500 prize. Prize to be determined.

    Prizes are not transferable. No substitutions or cash alternative for the prized except ad offered. If prizes are unavailable at the time they are awarded, Sponsor may substitute prize(s) of equal or greater value. Any federal, state, provincial and local taxes on prizes and incidental expenses, including but not limited to gratuities, meals, long distance phone charges are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Equine.com, equisearch.com, and all sponsor(s) or Internet access provider(s) are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, human error, technical malfunctions, viruses, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof, inability to access the web site, printing errors or late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, stolen, mechanically reproduced, illegible or postage due mail or online entries and any condition caused by events beyond the control of the aforementioned that may cause the Drawing to be disrupted or corrupted.
